Every Mind is a Work in Progress

Every mind is shaped by experiences, relationships, and the stories we carry through life. It adapts, grows, and evolves through moments of joy, uncertainty, achievement, loss, and change. Each experience leaves an imprint, influencing how we understand ourselves, relate to others, and engage with the world around us.

At The Mind Atelier, we believe meaningful psychological care begins with understanding your story. Before there are symptoms, Diagnosis, or labels, there is a person with strengths, struggles, values, aspirations, and experiences that deserve to be understood with compassion, curiosity, and scientific insight.

The Story Behind The Mind Atelier

At The Mind Atelier, we understand that every individual is shaped by unique life experiences that influence how they think, feel, and grow. The term “Atelier” refers to a creative workshop or studio, and here it represents a space of thoughtful creation for the mind, where understanding, reflection, and growth come together. Led by Capt. Amita, an experienced RCI-Registered Clinical Psychologist and Army Veteran, we combine evidence-based psychology with compassionate care to help individuals gain clarity, build resilience, and create meaningful change.

At The Mind Atelier, therapy focuses on understanding your personal story rather than just treating symptoms, combining scientific methods with empathy and individualized care.

The practice is led by Capt. Amita, an RCI-Registered Clinical Psychologist, Army Veteran, and University Gold Medallist with experience across military and clinical mental health settings.

Therapy helps individuals develop self-awareness, resilience, and clarity, enabling them to navigate challenges and move forward with confidence and self-compassion.

Stories of transformation

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like something needs to change—but you’re not sure how to move forward—that’s when therapy can help. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to be open to the process.

Each session is 50-60 minutes. We’ll decide together how often to meet—typically weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and schedule.

Without insurance, therapy sessions typically range from $150 to $275, depending on the therapist you choose to work with.

We understand that cost can be a concern, and we don’t believe it should stand in the way of getting support. Everyone deserves access to quality mental health care. Through our advanced clinical training program, we’re able to offer therapy options when insurance or standard rates aren’t the right fit.

Yes! I use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for all online sessions. Many clients find online therapy just as effective—and far more convenient.

I use an integrative approach, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and psychodynamic methods. But really, my approach is about meeting you where you are and tailoring our work to what you need most.
